Me: “Emma, what should we name the kitty?”

Emma: “Titty”

Me: “No Emma, not titty, KITTY”

Emma: “Titty!”

Evan: “Ya, that’s a great name, TITTY!”

Last week I was fortunate enough to receive a brand new Nikon D200 with 18-135mm lens (THANKS BARB!!!).  My first real opportunity to shoot with it was at the UCLA vs. Cal football game on Sat.  Our school band was playing during half-time, and I was able to get a media pass so I could take pictures from the field for the Yearbook.

The shots were incredible, even though I haven’t figured out how to use the camera yet, and it was definitely a once in a lifetime experience to be on the field at the Rose Bowl.  UCLA won with an interception in the last 90 seconds of the game, it was amazing!

We had to come to Oregon this weekend for a funeral, and it’s even more beautiful than the last time.  All the leaves are changing colors, there’s real clouds flowing overhead, and it might even rain.  We’ll be here until Sunday, maybe do some house hunting, see some family, and have a nice time.

Last Friday Michelle got her nose pierced for her Birthday.  The next morning I asked Evan, “So what do you think about mommy’s new nose ring?

Evan: “It’s uuuuuugly.”

Happy Birthday!!!  27 and more beautiful than ever.

p.s. She really wants Old Navy gift cards.

We’ve spent the last 2 Saturday mornings at the Palm Desert Soccer Park where Evan is playing Soccer with the Rhinos.  He’s loving the games and practices, and he’s doing so well.  He scored his first goal last Saturday.  Check out the pictures in the online gallery.
