This new zen photo gallery is amazing! I uploaded all of our vacation photos quickly and easily, and now you can see them by visiting the photo gallery. You can even leave comments on the photos, and we’ll be posting little anecdotes and stories about the photos on there as well. This is mainly for our good friends across the country who would like to see what we did on Vacation. Enjoy!
We stayed in the most charming B & B in Portland. Anyone reading this should make an excuse to visit Portland, if only to stay here. It is quite an exclusive establishment; reservations and being related are highly recommended. And if you are ever pondering “Donde Esta la Afterparty?” it is definatly at the Bakken-Camacho B & B.
The Bakken-Camacho B & B is the destination of choice when visting Portland. The location and view were amazing, close to major attractions and up in the hills overlooking all of Portland. The host family will make you feel like you are part of their family, the part that they really like. They set up our room to fit all of our needs, a crib for the baby, changing area stocked with diapers, wipes and lotions, and a seperate sleep area for our older son (seperated by a folding screen for his privacy). They had toys and games set out for the kids to play with and kid and adult friendly snacks too. They were a great resource of information about things to do in the city and were gracious enough to accompany us to get us aquainted with the public transportation system and local attractions.
Thank you Uncle Albert, Kimberly, and Alex! We had an amazing time in Portland and it was mainly due to you opening your home and taking such great care of us. It was wonderful to spend time with all of you, and the kids loved playing with Alex, he was such a caring and considerate cousin to them. As we are considering moving away from some really close family down here, it was nice to remember we would not be alone up there.

We had an amazing time on vacation and we will soon be putting up pics and telling more about our adventure. I had to write a short note about coming home becaues I want it to be buried here and forgotten, not part of our actual trip . . . Emma screamed. A lot. On the plane. A lot. Flight attendants served everybody extra coffee because of it. Screaming in the car. A lot. She was really happy to be home though. We all are.
&uotI’ve been wanting to revamp the Photo Gallery for a long time now and I finally got around to doing it this week while we’re in Canada. I’ve installed a php/MySQL system called Zen Photo that is pretty simple and easy to use. I can easily upload raw jpgs to a folder and Zen Photo does the rest. It’s much better organized than the old gallery and I can add pictures more often and easier.
I’ve added some new pictures of our vacation in Portland and Canada to the gallery, and i’ll be adding more when we get back. If you know how to login, feel free to check it out.
And it’s gorgeous! It’s been about 75 every day, with beautiful clouds floating around, and green trees! Do you know how long it’s been since we’ve seen green trees? We’re really excited to be up here, and I’m taking great pictures, so i’ll post some up here soon. Yesterday, we went to my Uncle Davids wedding, today we visited grandma Liu, and tomorrow we’re heading to the zoo. Should be fun!
